CHICAGO – Chicago State University Head Men's Basketball Coach Tracy Dildy announced the recent signings of six players to National Letters of Intent to join the program that begins with the upcoming 2012-13 season.
Among the newcomers coming to campus in August are Jamere Dismukes (Park Forest, Ill.), Nate Duhon (Lansing, Mich.), Arthur Gage (Plainfield, Ill.), Modestas Masiulionis (Orland Park, Ill.), Matt Ross (Dixon, Ill.), and Greg Tucker (Chicago, Ill.).
“This signing period instantly makes the CSU men's basketball program a true contender for reaching all the dreams and goals that this wonderful University deserves,” stated Dildy. “We, as a staff, have signed some really talented individuals that I'm confident will represent Chicago State University in the way the administration, faculty, students and community would be very proud of. We have really strengthened our backcourt and added much needed depth in our frontcourt. When you put this type of talent together with the talent we are returning which includes the Great West Conference Newcomer of the Year Jeremy Robinson (Decatur, Ill./Eisenhower) and Corey Gray (Houston, Texas/Hightower) who set out last season after transferring from UIC where he was the starting point guard. You must have the talent and toughness when you are playing such a demanding schedule like the one we will face this upcoming season. We have not scaled our non-conference schedule back from last season, where it was ranked among the top ten in the country. We will be successful on the court and in the classroom because that is what Chicago State University stands for and we will live up to that.”
