Women’s Cross Country Competes at Lucien Rosa Invitational

KENOSHA, Wis. –
Returning to action following a four-week hiatus, the Chicago State women's cross country team competed in the University of Wisconsin-Parkside's Lucian Rosa Invitational today.
 
The Cougars were one of two NCAA Division I teams competing in the six-kilometer race along with BIG EAST Conference member Marquette. Team scores were not available at the time this recap was written.
 
Senior Vialy Garcia-Hernandez (St. Charles, Mo./Francis Howell) led CSU with a 58th-place finish at a time of 26:16.0.
 
Senior Daeja Hooks (Chicago, Ill./UIC Prep), sophomore Natalie Couture (Minot, N.D./Minot), and freshmen Aleah Wilson (Blythewood, S.C./Blythewood) and Tyisha Bennett (Chicago, Ill./Michele Clark) also competed in the race for the Green and White.
 
Chicago State travels to downstate Peoria on Friday, Oct. 13 with the Bradley Pink Classic in its final preparation for the Western Athletic Conference Championships later this month.
