Trending...

Xavier Johnson (Dallas, Texas/Hopkins H.S.) has posted season high points in back-to-back games, scoring 22 at Illinois State then following that up with 23 at Northern Illinois. At Northern Illinois, he made a season-high five three pointers and attempted a season-high 10. Johnson also tied a season and career high with 38 minutes played.

Prior to Friday's game, Rajeir Jones (Baltimore, Md./St. Frances Academy) had started every game in which he appeared over the last two seasons, starting 34 consecutive games. He did not start against Huskies, snapping that streak.

Coreyoun Rushin (Chicago, IL/Westinghouse College Prep) made his first appearance of the season at Northern Illinois. He was cleared to play following a Division I Council decision to allow immediate eligibility for Division I transfers two days prior to Friday's game. Rushin made an immediate impact, starting his first game and leading the team in rebounds with eight.

Kalil Whitehead (Detroit, Mich./Cass Technical) has appeared in 32 games over the past two seasons for the Cougars. Friday at NIU marked his first start.

Levelle Zeigler (Oakland, Calif. /Ridgeview HS) logged a season and career high 40 minutes at UNI.

Isaiah Lewis (Romulus, Mich./)' freshman season (2019-20) was cut short after just six games due to injury. After six games this season, his season totals are nearly identical, with six games played with five starts, 47 field goal attempts, 11 defensive and total rebounds. One noticeable difference is turnovers, 14 a season ago and just six this year.

Kalil Whitehead (Detroit, Mich./Cass Technical) scored a season-high seven points at Loyola Chicago and converted his first career made three-point field goal in two seasons at CSU. He ended his freshman season 0-of-9 from beyond the three-point arc and was 0-of-5 (0-of-14 overall) before the three-point conversion at Loyola. He missed his only attempt at Illinois State and was 0-for-2 at NIU.

After not playing in CSU's first two games of the season then not scoring in his debut, Levelle Zeigler (Oakland, Calif. /Ridgeview HS) has led or tied for the team lead in scoring three of the last five games (11 at Eastern Illinois, 18 at Northwestern and 12 at Loyola Chicago).
