October 4
Women's Golf
at Butler Fall Invitational, Highland Country Club, Indianapolis, Indiana
The Chicago State women's golf team will compete in the Butler Fall Invitational Oct. 4-5 at the Highland Country Club (6,010 yards, par 70) in Indianapolis, Indiana. Participating teams include Butler, Austin Peay, Bellarmine, Belmont, Chicago State, Evansville, Eastern Illinois, Indiana State, IUPUI, Marian (Ind.), Marshall, Northern Kentucky, UIC and Valparaiso. Teams will play 54 holes, 36 continuous holes Monday beginning at 7:45 a.m. with a shotgun start. The final 18 holes are scheduled for Tuesday with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
 
Men's Golf
at Flyer Intercollegiate Golf Tournament hosted by Lewis University, Cog Hill Golf and Country Club, Dubsdread Course #4, Lemont, Illinois
The Cougars men's golf team will compete in the Flyer Intercollegiate Golf Tournament on Oct. 4-5 at Cog Hill Golf and Country Club. The event is hosted by Lewis University and the men will play Dubsdread (Course #4, par 72, 6,855 yards). The 15-team field includes St. Francis, Illinois-Springfield, Southern Indiana, Maryville, St. Mary of the Woods, Lewis, Minot State, Purdue-Northwest, McKendree, Lewis "B," Drury, Bellevue, Cedarville, Roosevelt and Chicago State.
 
 
October 5
Women's Golf
at Butler Fall Invitational, Highland Country Club, Indianapolis, Indiana
Final round action of the Butler Fall Invitational at the Highland Country Club (6,010 yards, par 70) in Indianapolis, Indiana. The final 18 holes are scheduled for a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
 
Men's Golf
at Flyer Intercollegiate Golf Tournament hosted by Lewis University, Cog Hill Golf and Country Club, Dubsdread Course #4, Lemont, Illinois
Final round action at the Flyer Intercollegiate Golf Tournament at Cog Hill Golf and Country Club.
 
 
October 7
Women's Volleyball
vs. New Mexico State, 6:00 p.m., Jones Convocation Center
The Chicago State volleyball team will host New Mexico State (12-4 overall and 3-1 in the Western Athletic Conference) Thursday, Oct. 7 at the Jones Convocation Center. The Cougars enter the contest with a 10-6 record which includes a 2-2 conference mark. CSU's Yanlis Feliz is the conference leader in kills per set (4.89) and kills (274) while New Mexico State's Lia Mosher is the league leader in hitting percentage (.454).
 
 
October 8
Men's Soccer
at Dixie State, 8:30 p.m., Greater Zion Stadium, St. George, Utah
The Chicago State men's soccer team will travel to St. George, Utah for a conference matchup against Dixie State on Friday, Oct. 8, at 8:30 p.m. The Trailblazers are 0-3 in the conference and 1-9 overall while the Cougars enter the contest with an identical 0-3 WAC record and 2-7-1 overall.
 
Women's Soccer
at Sam Houston State, 6:30 p.m., Huntsville, Texas
The Cougars women's soccer will travel to Huntsville, Texas to take on Sam Houston State on Friday, Oct. 8 at 6:30 p.m. The Bearkats are 3-7 overall and 1-2 in league play while Chicago State is 0-9-1 overall and 0-3-0 in the conference.
 
Women's Cross Country
at Brescia Invitational hosted by Brescia University, Owensboro, Kentucky, Yellow Creek Park
The Chicago State women's cross country teams is scheduled to run at the Brescia Invitational hosted by Brescia University in Owensboro, Kentucky on Friday, Oct. 8 at Yellow Creek Park. The women will compete in a 5,000m competition at 5:15 p.m.
 
Women's Tennis
at Wildcat Invitational hosted by Northwestern University, Combe Tennis Center, Evanston, Illinois
The Chicago State women's tennis team is scheduled to compete at the Wildcat Invitational hosted by Northwestern University at the Combe Tennis Center in Evanston, Illinois on Oct. 8-10.
 
 
October 9
Women's Volleyball
vs. Grand Canyon, 1:00 p.m., Jones Convocation Center
The volleyball team approaches the halfway point of the conference season with a home match against Grand Canyon on Saturday, Oct. 9. The Antelopes enter the match with an 11-2 overall record and 3-1 in WAC play.
 
Men's Tennis
at Vredevelt Invitational hosted by Western Michigan University, Sorenson Courts/West Hills Athletic Club, Kalamazoo, Michigan
The men's tennis team is scheduled to compete at the Vredevelt Invitational hosted by Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
 
Women's Tennis
at Wildcat Invitational hosted by Northwestern University, Combe Tennis Center, Evanston, Illinois
The women's tennis team is scheduled to complete Day 2 of the Wildcat Invitational hosted by Northwestern University.
 
Women's Golf
at Coyote Creek Classic hosted by Bradley, Coyote Creek Golf Club, Bartonville, Illinois
The women's golf team will compete at the Coyote Creek Classic hosted by Bradley at the Coyote Creek Golf Club (par 72, 6,019 yards) in Bartonville, Illinois on Oct. 9-10. The 14-team field includes Bradley, Chicago State, Cleveland State, Drake, Green Bay, Illinois State, Illinois Wesleyan, Loyola, Missouri State, Northern Iowa, Valparaiso, Western Illinois, Western Michigan and Xavier. The teams will tee off by a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. both days.
 
 
October 10
Men's Soccer
at UNLV, 6:00 p.m., Johann Memorial Field, Las Vegas, Nevada
The men's soccer team plays the middle game of its three-game conference road trip, traveling to Las Vegas to take on UNLV on Sunday, Oct. 10 at 6 p.m. at Johann Memorial Field. The Rebels enter the match with an overall record of 4-6 and 0-3 in the WAC, pending a Friday, Oct. 8 contest versus Houston Baptist.
 
Women's Soccer
at Stephen S. Austin State, 1 p.m., SFA Soccer Field, Nacogdoches, Texas
The Cougars play their second game of its two-game Texas road trip at Stephen S. Austin State in Nacogdoches, Texas, on Sunday, Oct. 10 at SFA Soccer Field. The Lumberjacks are 5-5-1 but are undefeated in the WAC with a 3-0 record pending a home match against Abilene Christian Friday, Oct. 8.

Looking Ahead…
Showtime at The State…
The Chicago State athletic department is debuting a web series Oct. 6, capturing a behind-the-scenes look at the men's basketball program. The episodes will be released each Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. leading into the season openers for both the men and women.

Fourth Episode: Oct. 27
Fifth Episode: Nov. 3
 
The men's basketball team will open with back-to-back home games against Division I opponents for the first time since 1989-90, welcoming St. Thomas on Nov. 9, followed by SIUE on Nov. 12 while the first home women's game is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 13 against the University of Alabama-Birmingham.
