Chicago State Women’s Tennis Release 2022 Schedule

Season Slated to Begin Feb. 21 at Marquette

Chicago State University head men's and women's tennis coach Jack Barton released the 2022 women's tennis schedule today. The team will open Feb. 21 at Marquette, and features eight home matches before Western Athletic Conference pod plays opens in April.

"Last year, we were very short handed due to injuries and COVID protocols," Barton said. "Now that we get everyone back, the team is motivated to compete this spring."

This year's Chicago State women's tennis team will feature Katarina Drazic and Kristina Pukhaeva who were each named to the 2020-21 all-WAC women's tennis team. The duo was named First Team all-WAC Doubles No. 1 while Sofiya Sedovich and Susana Andres were named Women's all-WAC Honorable Mention. The honor is Drazic's second First Team all-WAC Doubles recognition, previously earning the award in 2019 alongside Diana Borodina. She was also named a Second Team Singles honoree that same year.

"If we can stay focused and take care of all the things we can control, we will be a tough team to beat come conference time," Barton said.
