CHICAGO — Due to COVID-19 protocols within the New Mexico State women's basketball program, the Aggies will be unable to play tomorrow's scheduled Chicago State vs. New Mexico State women's basketball game.
The two schools have agreed to reschedule the game for Tuesday, Jan. 25 with a 12:00 p.m. tip-off at the Jones Convocation Center in Chicago. CSU Athletics will honor tickets from the previously scheduled Jan. 1 game.
The Cougars are slated to resume their WAC schedule on Thursday, Jan. 6 against Seattle U, a 1:00 p.m. start in Seattle.
COVID Protocols:
Face Coverings and Social Distancing will be implemented during athletically related activities to prevent transmission and prevent outbreaks based on current local guidelines.
PLEASE NOTE: Effective Jan 3, patrons to the Jones Convocation Center must show proof of vaccination in accordance with the City of Chicago updated requirements. This is applicable to all patrons ages 5 and over.

About Chicago State
Chicago State University Athletics is comprised of 15 intercollegiate teams involving over 150 student-athletes that compete in basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, tennis, indoor and outdoor track and volleyball. CSU held memberships in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and NCAA Division II before transitioning to NCAA Division I in 1994. Melvin Bland was the first CSU student-athlete to gain NAIA All-American status in 1974 as a wrestler. Fred Evans became the first black swimmer ever to win a national championship in 1975. Their feat marked the first time the Chicago State's men's track & field program was represented at the national meet.
