September 5
Men's Soccer
at Bellarmine, 1 p.m., Louisville, Kentucky, Owsley B. Frazier Stadium
The Chicago State men's soccer team will play the first of two road games during the week in Louisville, Kentucky against Bellarmine at Owsley B. Frazier Stadium on Monday, September 5 at 1 p.m. The Cougars enter the match with an 0-1-2 record following a 2-1 loss at Detroit Mercy. CSU started the season with ties at Northwestern (3-3) and Green Bay (0-0). Bellarmine is 1-1-1 following a 2-1 win at Northern Kentucky last Friday.

Women's Golf
at A-Ga-Ming Invitational, All Day, hosted by Central Michigan, Kewadin, Michigan, A-Ga-Ming Golf Resort
The Chicago State women's golf team will complete the first competition of their fall schedule on Monday, September 5, at the A-Ga-Ming Invitational hosted by Central Michigan at the A-Ga-Ming Golf Resort in Kewadin, Michigan.

Volleyball
vs. South Dakota State, 6 p.m., Sioux Falls, South Dakota, The Pentagon
The Chicago State volleyball team, fresh off hosting their only three home matches of the season, return to the road and will face South Dakota State on Tuesday, September 6 at 6 p.m. at The Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The Cougars are 2-4 on the season, including a 1-2 record at the Windy City Invitational this past weekend while the Jackrabbits 3-2 after splitting a pair of matches against Eastern Washington this past weekend.

Volleyball
at North Dakota State, 10 a.m., Fargo, North Dakota, Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse
vs. Northern Arizona, 4 p.m., Fargo, North Dakota, Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse
Chicago State volleyball will travel to Fargo, North Dakota for the North Dakota State Volleyball Tournament on September 9-10 at the Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse on the NDSU campus. The field includes Northern Arizona, Central Michigan along with the Cougars and Bison. Chicago State will face North Dakota State in the tournament's opening match, Friday, September 9 at 10 a.m.

Women's Soccer
vs. Southern Indiana, 7 p.m., Chicago, Illinois, Gwendolyn Brooks College Prep
The Chicago State women's soccer team will host their second consecutive home match on Friday, September 9 against Southern Indiana at 7 p.m. at Gwendolyn Brooks College Prep. Southern Indiana opened the week with a 2-1-1 record and will face IUPUI Monday, September 5.

Men's Soccer
at UIC, 7 p.m., Chicago, Illinois, Flames Field
The Chicago State men's soccer team will play their third road game of the week, this time staying in Chicago to face UIC on Friday, September 9 at 7 p.m. at Flames Field. The Flames enter the week 0-2 with losses at No. 8 Kentucky and at home against Cleveland State. The match against CSU will be the Flames third consecutive home game as UIC is set to host Loyola Monday.

Volleyball
vs. Central Michigan, 12:30 p.m., Fargo, North Dakota, Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse
Chicago State face Central Michigan in the second day of the NDSU Tournament. The Cougars and Chippewas are scheduled to play at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 10 at the Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse in Fargo.

Men's and Women's Cross Country
at Aurora, All Day, Aurora, Illinois, Northwest Medicine Cross Country Course
Chicago State's men's and women's cross country teams are scheduled to open their seasons on Saturday, September 10 at the Northwest Medicine Cross Country Course in Aurora in a meet hosted by Aurora University. The men will traverse an 8k race while the women will run a 6k race.

Women's Soccer
vs. Bellarmine, 1 p.m., Chicago, Illinois, Gwendolyn Brooks College Prep
The Chicago State women's soccer team will host its third consecutive home match of the season on Sunday, September 11 at Gwendolyn Brooks College Preparatory Academy High School against Bellarmine at 1 p.m. Bellarmine entered the week with an 0-1-3 mark and will host home matches against Dayton and Miami (Ohio) before coming to Chicago Sunday.

About Chicago State
Chicago State University Athletics is comprised of 15 intercollegiate teams involving over 150 student-athletes that compete in basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, tennis, indoor and outdoor track and volleyball. CSU held memberships in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and NCAA Division II before transitioningm to NCAA Division I in 1994. Melvin Bland was the first CSU student-athlete to gain NAIA All-American status in 1974 as a wrestler. Fred Evans became the first black swimmer ever to win a national championship in 1975. In 1991, the Chicago State women's tennis team became the first all-black college team to amass an unbeaten season at the NCAA level. CSU's women's basketball team earned a spot in the 2011 Women's Basketball Invitational and CSU's men's basketball team won the 2013 Great West Conference Tournament title, also making an appearance in the CollegeInside.com Postseason Tournament (CIT). The Men's Outdoor Track & Field 4x100-Meter Relay team were 2019 Honorable Mention All-Americans and WAC Champions. Their feat marked the first time the Chicago State's men's track & field program was represented at the national meet. Chicago State volleyball recorded a historic season in 2021, with Yanlis Feliz becoming CSU's first volleyball All-American and head coach
Tony Trifonov earning selection as WAC Coach of the Year. During that same season, three different CSU teams earned victories over Big Ten opponents with men's soccer beating Northwestern, women's basketball upending Wisconsin and volleyball, which established a school record 17 wins and hosted a post-season volleyball tournament for the first time in program history, swept Indiana in Bloomington.
