Pablo Riveiro was named Ohio Valley Conference Co-Male Golfer of the Week following Chicago State's team title at the 38th Thomas W. Dortch Jr. HBCU Classic. Riveiro tied for medalist honors and earned the tournament title in a playoff. He carded a two-round 138 and shot the lowest round of the tournament, a six-under 66 leading the Cougars to their first tournament win with a full Division I field en route to a program one-round record of minus-9. The Cougars started the last day of the tournament just one shot off the lead but dominated the field with a second-round 279, 10 strokes better than eventual runner up Florida A&M.
The men's team will be back on the course September 29 at The Indy of Forest Hills hosted by Miami of Ohio at the Forest Hills Country Club in Richmond, Indiana.
