Cougars Men’s Tennis Drops 4-3 Decision at IUPUI

Box Score The Chicago State men's tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision to IUPUI Saturday afternoon at the West Indy Racquet Club in Indianapolis, Indiana. IUPUI earned the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and 3 and the Cougars rallied in singles with straight-set wins by Pedro Alvarez at No. 1 and Percy Siercke at No. 5 along with a three-set victory by Zak Radziwillowicz at No. 3. Siercke's win knotted the match at 3-3 but IUPUI won at No. 6 for the 4-3 victory.

"This was a match where bad decisions and a lack of mental toughness was the difference," head coach Jack Barton said. "I told the guys at the beginning of the season that when moments come we can't miss them and this was definitely one where we missed it.  As a team we were not 100% focused. Some were and some were not and it cost us."

Compete results listed below.

The Cougars will wrap up the regular season at Northern Kentucky tomorrow, Sunday, April 21, at 11:30 a.m.
