Match Recap: Men's Tennis |

Cougars Men’s Tennis Drop 7-0 Decision to Cleveland State

The Chicago State men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Cleveland State Saturday at H-F Racquet and Fitness in Homewood. The No. 1 doubles team of Pedro Alvarez and Max Sandoval opened play with a 6-2 win but the Vikings captured the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and 3 then swept singles for the team victory.

"Cleveland State was just better than us today," head coach Jack Barton said. "In order for us to qualify for the conference tournament, we have to win out and hope for some help. At the end of the day, we put ourselves in this situation and we have to take accountability for that."
