Chicago State's
Katarina Dukic was named to the third team on the inaugural 2023-24 Academic All-America® women's tennis teams selected by the College Sports Communicators announced today. She finished her college career with a perfect 4.00 undergraduate grade point average in mathematics and completed her Master's in Mathematics with a 3.85 GPA.
Dukic is a two-time Horizon League All-Academic Team honoree, a CSC Academic All-District selection, was named a 2023 ITA Scholar-Athlete and to the 2024 Spring Horizon League Academic Honor Roll. She was named the CSU Athletic Department Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year two consecutive seasons and also earned team MVP honors following the 2022 season. As a sophomore, she was an initiate for Epsilon Beta, CSU's Sophomore Honor Society, was named to the President's Honor Roll, was a 2020 ITA Scholar-Athlete and was named Academic All-WAC. On the court, Dukic, was named a Horizon League All-League second team honoree in 2024 and was a first-team honoree a season ago. She finished her Chicago State career tied for second in all-time singles victories with 59.
Division I
Six of the 20 members of the Academic All-America® Division I women's tennis team boast a perfect 4.0 GPA in their undergraduate work or graduate school. The six members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.25.
Five student-athletes are repeat selections on the Academic All-America® Division I women's tennis team – Stanford University's
Valencia Xu, University of South Carolina's
Sarah Hamner, Ohio State University's
Irina Cantos Siemers, University of Miami's
Isabella Pfennig, and University of Virginia's
Natasha Subhash. Subash is a three-time selection.
Division II
Eight of the 18 members of the Academic All-America Division II women's tennis teams boast a perfect 4.0 GPA in their undergraduate work or graduate school. The six members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.855.
There are four repeat selections on the Academic All-America® Division II women's tennis team –

Maja Jung of Washburn University,
Emily Barrett of Tiffin University and
Vasileia Griva of Grand Valley State.

Sarah Forester -- on the Academic All-America® Division III women's tennis team. Kassaie was the 2022-23 Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year for women's tennis.

NAIA
Teodora Jovic of Georgia Gwinnett College is the lone member of the Academic All-America® NAIA women's tennis team to maintain a perfect 4.0 GPA in her undergraduate work. The six members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.848.
