DEKALB, IL - The Chicago State men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 contest to in-state foe Northern Illinois on Sunday afternoon.
Andres-Rei Negrut was a very bright spot for the men's team taking the first set, 7-5) at No. 2 singles but he dropped the second set 6-0 and the tiebreaker, 11-9.
The Cougars also had a good showing at No. 1 doubles as the tandem of Logan Daily and Jaden Laster fell to the top team from Northern Illinois 7-5
Chicago State will regroup and prepare for a Horizon League road match-up with IU Indy on March 15.
