MUNCIE, Ind. - The Chicago State track and field teams had a good showing over the weekend at the Ball State "We Fly" Invitational. Highlighting the weekend were a first place finish in the men's 4x100m relay and seven top-10 finishes
Skyler McGhee had a good day in the long jump and triple jump, earning two top-3 finishes. In the long jump he placed second with a jump of 7.01m and he took third place in the triple jump with a jump of 13.53m.
Latonia Johnson also posted a 10.23 m jump in the triple jump, good for a sixth-place finish.
Rachel Whyte, the reigning NEC Track Rookie of the Week, placed sixth in the 200m running a 24.21 while Rikki Gray took 14th in the 400m with a time of 58.37.
Freshman Dennis Kirui posted some good time in the mid-distance, earning an eight place finish in the 800m with a time of 2:00.09 while Collins Kuyo ran a 4:19.51 in the 1500m, finishing in 13th place.

The Cougars will next hit the track April 17-19 at the Gibson Invitational hosted by Indiana State.
