CHICAGO, Ill. - Chicago State student-athletes continue to excel in the classroom with 37 student-athletes across 16 sports achieving a perfect 4.0 grade point average (GPA) during the Spring 2025 semester while 59 student-athletes earned a GPA between 3.0 and 3.99. In total, 96 student-athletes posted a GPA of a 3.0 or better.
From a team standpoint, 10 Cougars teams posted team GPAs of 3.0 or better, led by women's volleyball and men's tennis who posted the top two team GPAs this semester with 3.82 and 3.65 GPAs, respectively. Women's golf (3.54), women's soccer (3.46), men's soccer (3.44), men's golf (3.42), women's track & field/cross country (3.22), women's triathlon (3.21), women's tennis (3.13) and women's basketball (3.0) were the other programs which achieved a team GPA of 3.0 or better.

Cougars student-athletes have a long history of succeeding in the classroom and are well represented on the Dean's List, Provost's Honor Roll, President's Honor Roll and the University Honor Roll.
