2016: Started 20 times (10 in the outfield, eight at first base, two at designated hitter) and played in 34 games during inaugural collegiate season… batted .214 with seven runs scored, four RBIs and three doubles… hit 2-for-4 with a double and scored a run against Iowa (2/28)… went 2-for-3 with a double and drove in two runs versus Chicago (5/11)… produced 14 defensive putouts against Seattle (4/3)… scored three runs versus Northwestern (4/19).

Prep: Lettered for two seasons as a first baseman at Mount Carmel… batted .354 in his senior season while earning the team’s Mr. Offense award… hit .318 as a sophomore in helping the Caravan capture the IHSA Class 4A state title.

Personal: Son of Memmarie Carpenter… majoring in business.
