2021-22 Junior
• Named Second Team All-WAC following a vote of the conference’s 13 head coaches, joining Quinton Pippen (2013-14) and Fred Sims, Jr. (2016-17) as the only Cougars players to be named to the conference’s first or second teams
• Named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for November 8-14, earning the honor after leading the Cougars in scoring in their two season-opening wins. He opened the season with 22 points and four assists in a 77-72 win over St. Thomas, then added 18 points and three assists in a 67-56 win over visiting SIUE. On the week, he averaged 20.0 points per game on 14-of-27 shooting (.519). 
• Team’s leading scorer, averaging 14.2 points per game with a season-high 31 points in the regular season finale at Seattle
• Only Cougars player to play in and start every game during the 2021-22 season
• Led the team in three-point field goals made (79), attempted (213) and three-point field goal percentage (.371), and those totals rank fifth, sixth and seventh, respectively, on Chicago State’s all-time single-season records list
• Etched his name in the single-season free throw percentage list, converting .836 of his free throws (56-of-67) which ranks fifth
• Led the team in scoring 12 times, eclipsed the 20-point mark six times and scored in double figures 27 times
• Converted at least one three-point field goal in 29 of 32 games and converted more than one in a game on 24 occasions
• Led the team in assists with 91 and led the team in assists 18 times during the season
• Converted two game-winning scores on last-second, last-possession opportunities. With time winding down in conference home games against California Baptist and New Mexico State, Betson set up at mid court and drove to the left side of the lane on both occasions, hitting a pull-up jumper to beat California Baptist and a driving layup to deliver one of college basketball’s biggest upsets of the season against New Mexico State

• All-conference performer at his two previous stops, earning first-team All-Central Conference at Daytona State as a sophomore where he had seven 20+-point scoring performances and was named first-team IEAC at San Bernardino College as a freshman where he averaged 19.5 points per game with 12 20+-point scoring performances with a season-high 45 points. He also averaged 45.2 percent from the field, including 41.5 percent from beyond the three-point arc.

• Had seven 20+-point scoring performances with a season-high 30 points in an abbreviated season.

• Averaged 19.5 points per game, with 12 20+-point scoring performances and a season-high 45 points
